Being perfectly equipped won’t do you any good if you don’t choose the right spot. Don’t panic, in addition to putting good equipment within your reach, Flymaax also helps you find perfect beaches to flirt with the wind. The Almanarre beach is one of Maxime Nocher’s favourites, and not without reason!

Almanarre beach

Head for the peninsula of Giens to find this famous beach that stretches over 5 kilometers. It runs along a tombolo known as the salt road, just on the other side of the salt marshes. The spot is magnificent, ideal to enjoy the peace and quiet.

In winter, traffic on the Route du Sel is closed. The beach remains accessible all year round, even if summer is the ideal season to take off. You can park at the Almanarre roundabout or use one of the many car parks available at the tombolo. It is also in the summer months that the birds, and in particular the pink flamingos, meet on the beach.

The Almanarre beach, which has been given the Pavillon Bleu label, also bears the Tourism and Disability Label, ensuring that it is accessible to people with hearing, mental and/or motor disabilities.

The ideal spot for kitesurfing and other gliding sports

As you can imagine, it is not only for the beauty of the landscapes that the multiple champion Maxime Nocher prefers this spot. It’s above all because it’s suitable for kitesurfing!

If you are a novice, you can follow courses in one of the many schools located nearby. The Spot KiteCenter, the KGG school and the MF Kite school are excellent addresses nearby to initiate you.

Do you already have experience? The Mistral (west wind) will take you up high. At the same time, the agitation of the sea gives it a wild and indomitable feel that will make you experience exceptional sensations. With an east wind, it is above all the offshore water that attracts lovers of water sports. Goodbye waves and hello peaceful water that reveals several shades of blue.

Finally, the Almanarre beach is watched over. Moreover, the water is low. Young children can therefore enjoy a swim session or start building castles in white sand. Beach equipment can be hired on site.

Have a good ride!
